Vietnam Food and Culture Adventures

May 2008

Daniel Hoyer has been traveling in Vietnam to conduct research for his newest cookbook, Culinary Vietnam, and has fallen in love with the country, the people and especially the food.   He can think of no better way to share this wonderful place with others than to lead some food and cultural adventures there.   To guide the trips, Daniel has teamed up with Kim Phuong Nguyen, a native Vietnamese, who along with her husband, Marny Freedman, who has traveled extensively throughout Vietnam, will provide language and cultural assistance and help to connect us directly with the Vietnamese people. For the inaugural season of Vietnam trips, we are offering two choices, one 10-day and one 15-day.  Both trips offer a south to north itinerary with market tours, city stays and trips to the countryside, visits to museums, temples, pagodas and tombs along with other cultural and historic highlights, home visits, cooking classes with locals, shopping, lots of fun and of course, great eating.

Below you will find a brief description of each adventure tour along with links to more detailed itineraries, application forms and frequently asked questions about these trips.
